December 11, 1988 - November 24, 1998
Gone from our sight, forever in our heart.

The name Brandys Cockers is in memory of our first American Cocker Spaniel, "Pettswood's Golden Brandy".  Brandy was a very special girl who taught us how loving and beautiful a cocker could be.  Brandy is gone, but her memory will linger forever.

In 1988 my love for Cockers began as a small object under the Christmas tree with my name on the tag.  When it was opened I found a book on owning and raising Cocker Spaniels. The end of January 1989 the rest of my gift came into our lives and into our hearts, Brandy had arrived. Looking back I can now see that she was definitely not show quality, but in every other way she was the perfect example of a Cocker.  She was very sweet tempered and affectionate, and always knew if I needed some extra TLC when things were rough at work.  The day that little buff girl came into our home was the day we were all bitten by the Cocker "bug"!

In October of 1991 we bred Brandy to Sir Adams Golden Prowler, and on December 24 1991 Brandy whelped 6 beautiful puppies, all of which were registered with Christmas names. We sold all the puppies but one, and she lived with us for the past 13 years until recently when we lost our beautiful girl  her name was Christmas Snow (Chrissy) she is now with the rest of her brothers and mother enjoying being together again.

Brandy was never bred a second time as we found out that she had a health problem that could be passed on to her offspring.  She then became our extra field hand when the kids played baseball,  they would hit it and she would run and grab the ball before the fielders could. To this day I am not sure how she managed to carry that soft ball in her mouth  On November 24, 1998 our beloved Brandy passed away.

We started our kennel in 1999 with the purchase of Mya. Now we have 10 cockers in our lives and home, Mac and Robbie, our "neutered" boys and their harem of girls. Shayleigh and her daughter Tamale, Faith (Mya's daughter) and Myth Faith's daughter and Mya's granddaughter, Patricia, and her little red and white girl Willow and Hope. We now have  expanded to a full boarding kennel complete with 9 indoor runs with outdoor access and a complete grooming parlour for our clients.
